Homemade Organic Car Cleaning Products For A Brilliant Interior And Exterior Shine

Someone once said that living a healthy lifestyle was expensive, and there are times when it certainly may seem that this is indeed the case. However, it doesn’t have to be that way.

For example, you can keep your car clean without using those chemical laden products that are so damaging to your health and to the environment. Nor do you have to pay the high price for those healthier organic cleaners for your car.

In most cases, you can find reasonably priced organic car cleaning products for sale or you can make your own for cheaper than you might have thought possible.

Here are some great car recipes to make car cleaning products that will have your car looking great, while keeping more money in your wallet:

Environmentally and Healthy Car Cleaning Soap

• 1 bucket of water
  

• A little Castile liquid soap (make sure it is 100% organic)
  

• 3 Tablespoon of white vinegar

Simply wash your car and rinse.

Organic Window Cleaner

• Fill a spray bottle ½ full with warm water
  

• Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  

• Fill the rest of the bottle way up with white vinegar
  

• Shake the ingredients to mix, and clean your car windows and mirrors using newspaper. You’ll be amazed at how well the lemon and vinegar cuts all the grease and grime from both the inside and outside of the windows. This can be used in the house as well

Cleaning and Freshening Your Carpet

• Vacuum your carpet thoroughly
  

• Use club soda and a sponge to treat any spots in the carpet
  

• To scrub carpets, fill your steam cleaner 2/3 full with hot water. Add 1/8 cup of Castile soap, and ¼ cup of white vinegar and steam clean. Go over the carpet a second time with plain hot water, then using a wet/dry vacuum, remove as much of the excess water as possible. Leave your car doors open for quicker drying
  

• You can freshen carpets by sprinkling baking soda onto the carpet and allowing it to sit for 15 minutes and then vacuum

Waxing Your Car

There are recipes for making your own car wax, however most of them call for carnauba wax and other ingredients. Making your car wax doesn’t make sense when you can purchase pure liquid carnauba wax pretty cheaply and there really is no need to add other ingredients to this wax, as it gives your car a nice shine and a nice sweet natural smell all by itself.
